There is a 5% penalty per day late to a minimum grade of 0%. This includes, Projects, Exams, & SIMBook Assignments.

Late assignments due to University Excused Absences, Illness, Tragedy, or other Document Absences can have the penalty removed. Please contact the instructor with the appropriate documentation.

Accidental Submissions

The SIMnet software used for labs and homework automatically submits assignments when the page is closed or refreshed, this may sometimes cause you to accidentally submit an assignment early and receive a low grade. We allow a single resubmission of the exercises per semester so make sure to be careful with the software, if you would like to resubmit please reach out to a Teaching Assistant during their helpdesk or lab hours.

Attendance

There is no Attendance for this course. Lab time slots are there to ensure you have scheduled at least 3 hours per week available to you to work on course materials. TAs will be available in the labs during the lab times to assist with questions on the projects, readings, and assignments.

Academic Integrity

All students are expected to conduct themselves professionally. Students are assumed to be familiar with the policies in the student information sheet for the department.

This course will adhere to CSU Academic Integrity Policy as found in the the General Catalog and the Student Conduct Code. At a minimum, violations will result in a grading penalty in this course and a report to the Office of Conflict Resolution and Student Conduct Services.

Academic integrity lies at the core of our common goal: to create an intellectually honest and rigorous community. Because academic integrity, and the personal and social integrity of which academic integrity is an integral part, is so central to our mission as students, teachers, scholars, and citizens, I will ask that you affirm the CSU Honor Pledge as part of completing your work in this course.

Further information about Academic Integrity is available at CSU’s Academic Integrity – Student Resources.

Academic Misconduct will be penalized with a report to Student Conduct and a penalty on the assignment equivalent to -100% of the grade of the assignment.

Discuss the situation with the instructor if in doubt. Don’t assume.

Grading Policy

Grade

Range

A+

100% to 98%

A

< 98% to 90%

A-

< 90% to 89.5%

B+

< 89.5% to 88%

B

< 88% to 80%

B-

< 80% to 79.5%

C+

< 79.5% to 78%

C

< 78% to 70%

D

< 70% to 60%

F

< 60% to 0%

These range boundaries are rigid.
