You will do most of your learning through trainings, exercises and exams to assess your learning with different tools throughout the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SIMBook<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are 4 SIMBook Software Units: Excel 1, Word, Excel 2, and PowerPoint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each software unit tests your skills with projects to be completed in SIMnet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connect Assignments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These count for 30% of your grade and consists of readings, homeworks and reading exams through the Connect interactive textbook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technological Skills Readings<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Weekly readings are completed in Connect. Readings are graded based on completion and do not incur a late penalty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lowest 2 reading scores are dropped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Homeworks<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Weekly homeworks are completed in Connect. Homeworks cover material presented in that week&#8217;s reading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You are provided 3 attempts on each homework question. The lowest 2 homework scores are dropped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reading Exams<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reading Exams are done in Connect. There are 3 Reading Exams in the course due on 9\/27, 11\/1, and 12\/13. These will cover the previous 4-5 weeks readings from ConnectMaster. You will only have 1 attempt on each question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For all Reading Exams you&#8217;ll need to install the Proctorio browser extension. This is Connect&#8217;s proctoring software similar to Respondus Lockdown Browser. You do not need to download Proctorio ahead of time. Upon launching the exam it&#8217;ll prompt you to download the extension. In order to use and download Proctorio students must use <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/chrome\/answer\/95346?hl=en&amp;co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop\">Google Chrome<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/edge\/download?form=MA13FJ\">Microsoft Edge<\/a> for Connect Reading Exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Readings stay open all semester to help you prep for Reading Exams. You can view your old Homework attempts to also help study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Projects<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There are several Class Projects that will be assigned throughout the semester. Descriptions for each Class Project are delivered as a part of the assignment.<br>You are provided 2 attempts on each project. With the exception to the LinkedIn project. The lowest project score will be dropped.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Exam<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There will be no final exam given in this course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Extra Credit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Extra credit will not be offered in this course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SIMnet Assignments These assignments count for 30% of your grade.
