New (Level 1) UTAs are mentored by experienced (Level 2) UTAs, who are in turn guided by Lead UTAs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mentor Check-ins:<\/strong> Level 1 and Level 2 UTAs will have regular, documented check-ins to discuss progress, set goals, and address challenges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Instructor and Lead UTAs:<\/strong> The instructor and Lead UTAs serve as the primary points of contact for course continuity and troubleshooting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Frameworks and Tools<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the course, we will engage with and apply several evidence-based pedagogical frameworks, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kolb&#8217;s Experiential Learning Cycle and Backward Design.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Active and inquiry-based learning strategies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to promote inclusive teaching.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The SBI (Situation-Behavior-Impact) model for providing constructive feedback.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The &#8220;Crucial Conversations&#8221; framework for navigating difficult interactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This course provides a structured network of support and key pedagogical resources to ensure your success.
