Quantitative Security

The course examines quantitative and algorithmic aspects of cybersecurity risks and their mitigation approaches.

The course examines quantitative and algorithmic aspects of cybersecurity risks and their mitigation approaches using real-world data. Topics include security architecture, vulnerabilities, their discovery and exploitation, security metrics, and Risk evaluation.

No cybersecurity background is required. All key basic concepts will be introduced. Prerequisites: College-level mathematics including probability and statistics, undergraduate background in CS/Data Science, Computer/Systems engineering, or business.
